    Depending on where your play area is located it may be subjected to dirt and debris falling or blowing onto it. Brushing these up will prevent it from becoming ingrained on top of the grass to create a top layer of fertile mulch from which weeds could grow.

    Whilst we use excellent weed membranes these are designed to prevent weeds from forming and growing up from underneath the layer of artificial turf. However, if organic debris such as soil and leaves are left on top of your artificial lawn they will provide a base from which moss and algae can take hold along with seeds if they happen to land in the right spot.

    This should be a very easy task. Brush artificial grass with the occasional brushing against the pile direction of the grass will keep your lawn looking good and prevent it from flattening down. However, many play areas will choose a very short  pile (sub 30mm) which means that you can even forgo this maintenance task.
