Best Artificial Grass Loughborough
Choosing Fake Grass
There are a number of aspects to consider when choosing fake grass for your project. Whilst it is clearly tempting to choose the one which looks the nicest based on your personal preference, however whilst this should play some part if you choose purely on this without consideration of how it is likely to be used - you may choose an artificial grass which will frustrate you in some areas.
Whilst the desire is often to have long lush looking artificial grass this will not be ideal for high traffic areas and potentially not the best for pet owners, particularly dog owners when it comes to tidying up after a number two!
It may seem that there are too many choices and to many variable prices, don't stress at Artificial Grass Leicester we try to keep things as simple as possible. For garden artificial turfs we have price two ranges with a few options in each range which will cover virtually all synthetic artificial lawn scenarios. We will discuss how, who and how often you artificial lawn will be used and with that information can guide you through to the most suitable options still giving you to opportunity to choose the one you prefer from a personal preference perspective
Best Type of Artificial Grass
To give a frank and what may seem a slightly flippant answer to what is the best type of artificial grass one of the simply things to say is one that has been installed well. There should be nothing more frustrating than investing in a new artificial turf for your garden to then have issues with puddles forming, weeds coming through the grass or the edges starting to lift away.
Naturally we are advocates of the grass we sell and install but our experience over the years has told us that to use cheap artificial grass will not help to develop a good reputation as an artificial grass supply and fit company. And neither will a poos quality installation.
The synthetic grasses we use are imported from the EU and we have worked closely with the manufacturer over a number of year and have input into some of the development of some of their range and features. There are many cheap artificial grasses around and they are springing up everywhere to the degree where you can to simply put a roll into your shopping trolley when visiting a DIY shop or builder's merchant. These synthetic grasses are likely to be imported from China with limited knowledge or attention paid by the seller as to the product specifications, worker conditions or recyclable content - they are simply cheap and afford a margin for the store. It is unlikely many of these will be used by professional artificial grass installation companies but many will simply more up to the next level on both the grasses and accessories which will provide an adequate end result.
Rarely will you find companies providing the 10 year guarantee we do. Our artificial grasses have been UV treated to resist fading and excessive heating in hot conditions and our weed membrane has been developed to provide additional acid neutralising capabilities, even though this will rarely need to come into play if a good sub base has been laid and no sand infill is used on top of your newly laid artificial grass.
Best Astroturf in Leicester
When people use astroturf or astro turf they normally associate it with sports pitches and essentially it is just another name for an artificial or synthetic grass. There is no 'official differentiator' but most people will assume astroturf to be shorter and less 'grass looking' than artificial grass.
So taking taking the unofficial definition of astroturf there has been developments in this over the years and without going into too much detail the earlier versions of astro turf were referred to as 2G and 3G as in second and third generation astro turf. Many of the current astroturf pitches you will see in tennis courts, hockey pitches or multi-play outdoor sports pitches will be 3G. The astro turf we use if 4G. The main difference between 3G and 4G pitches is that 4G grass no longer requires periodic topping up of an infill. The infills used or either sand or rubber crumb and they were used to reduce the friction and therefor wear on the astroturf to extend its life. However, the downside if these infills are the costs, the downtime the general player grumbles about a more slippery playing surface after an infill top up and the accompanying mess that the infill makes. It gets into shoes and sock and changing rooms will require more cleaning to sweep up the ever growing infill deposits.
For us the best astroturf in Leicester is 4G as it avoid all these issues associated with 3G and will a quality install you will have an exceptional playing surface for many years.
